No analytics or marketing cookie is set on this site
Our analytics is cookieless. It sets no cookie, writes nothing to your browser and builds no profile of you, here or anywhere else. Today this site stores exactly one thing on your device, and only if you open cookie preferences and save a choice: the record of that choice.
That is also why you were not shown a consent banner. Under the ePrivacy Directive, consent is required for storing or reading information on your device. Nothing here does that without being asked, so there is nothing to consent to, and a banner that appears when nothing is stored only teaches people to dismiss the ones that matter.
Three categories, and what each one covers
Every tool below belongs to exactly one of these. Only the first is loaded without asking, and only because without it the site cannot remember what you told it.
Strictly necessary
Always on, cannot be switched off
Only what the site needs in order to work, plus the record of the choice you make here. This is the one category that does not require consent, because without it the thing you asked for cannot be delivered. It is stored in your browser, not sent anywhere.

Analytics
Off unless you switch it on
Aggregate counts of page views and referrers, so we know which pages answer a buyer's question and which ones fail to. The analytics we run today is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and identifies nobody, so it does not require consent and this switch does not turn it off. If we ever add an analytics tool that does store something, this switch is what holds it back.

Marketing
Off unless you switch it on
Tells an advertising platform that a visit to this site followed one of its campaigns, and allows that platform to show you our advertising elsewhere. Everything in this category stores an identifier on your device, so none of it loads unless you switch this on. Nothing here is enabled today.

Tools marked not enabled are registered but never loaded. They are listed anyway, so this page describes what would happen if a category were switched on later rather than being rewritten after the fact.

- Consent record: Deliberately localStorage rather than a cookie, so the mechanism that records your consent does not itself need consent, and so it is never transmitted to our server.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: Sets no cookie, writes nothing to your device and builds no cross-site profile. This is the reason this site has no banner today. Cloudflare, Inc. privacy policy.
- Plausible Analytics: Not in use. Listed because a policy page that only names the tool currently running is useless the day the tool changes. Plausible Insights OU, Estonia privacy policy.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag: Not enabled. Names and durations are LinkedIn's published values and are confirmed against the live tag before it is switched on. LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company privacy policy.
What changes if we enable a tool that does store something
LinkedIn advertising is planned, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag sets third-party cookies. Google Analytics 4, the Meta Pixel and HubSpot would behave the same way. If any of them is switched on, three things happen together and none of them is optional:
- A consent banner appears before the tool loads, with refusing exactly as easy as accepting. It is already built; it is dormant because nothing currently requires it.
- The tool loads only after you allow its category, and not before. Refusing leaves the site working exactly as it does now.
- Every choice already stored is treated as no longer covering the new tool, so you are asked again rather than quietly opted in to something you never saw.
The rows above marked not enabled are what would be set. Cookie names and lifetimes for the LinkedIn Insight Tag are the values LinkedIn publishes; they are checked against the live tag before it is switched on, and this page is corrected if they differ.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Open the preferences panel at any time, from here or from the footer of any page. Withdrawing is one action and takes effect immediately. Your choice is recorded for 182 days, after which you are asked again.
Clearing site data in your browser deletes the record as well, and because it is the only thing we keep on your device, that leaves nothing of ours behind.
